U.S. Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) PTAB/TTAB Stadium Tour

The morning and afternoon sessions have sold out, but you can add your name to the wait list. Select the Wait List Ticket, pick which session you would like to attend, and when a ticket becomes available, you will be contacted via email.

Tickets are still available for the evening reception at O'Tooles, across the street from the School of Law. The reception is free for students and USPTO personnel, and is $45 for non-students, and includes two drink tickets plus a wide selection of hors d'oeuvres. Registration is required.

The USPTO is partnering with The University of San Diego School of Law to present live PTAB (Patent Trial and Appeal Board) and TTAB (Trademark Trial and Appeal Board) proceedings actually pending before the PTAB and TTAB, including ex parte appeal hearings and AIA trials, and to provide educational sessions where Board judges share tips for successful advocacy before the TTAB and PTAB.

This program is best for patent and trademark attorneys and parties who appear in front of the PTAB or TTAB, as well as those who want to learn about practice before these administrative tribunals.

The USPTO sessions will be held in the USD School of Law Grace Courtroom. All sessions are free and open to the public. Lunch is free for students and will be served in the courtroom. All non-students (other than USPTO personnel) can purchase a buffet-style lunch (drink included) in the campus restaurant, La Gran Terraza, located across from the law school for $25. The event will be followed by a reception at O'Toole's, also located across from the law school. Space is very limited, and early registration is recommended. You may select morning session, afternoon session, or both. Once you have registered for the event, directions and parking information will be provided in your confirmation email.
